Our Story
The idea for Okaysou came about when our founder, John Smith, moved to a new city and immediately started experiencing allergy issues he’d never had before. After some research, he realized the air quality in his new home was likely the culprit. He purchased an air purifier, which helped tremendously, but he noticed the replacement filters were expensive and didn’t last very long.
John had a background in engineering and product design. He thought, “There must be a way to make effective air purifiers and filters that don’t cost a fortune to run.” And so, the idea for Okaysou was born.
He recruited a small team and together they spent two years researching, designing and testing prototypes. Their goal was to create cost-effective air purifiers and filters without sacrificing performance.
In 2018, the first Okaysou air purifier launched. It used a proprietary 5-stage filtration system to remove 99.97% of pollutants as small as 0.3 microns. Its sleek, Scandinavian style was unlike anything else on the market. And it was priced significantly lower than comparable models.
Since then, Okaysou has released several new air purifier models plus a line of replacement filters. We’ve built strong partnerships with leading manufacturers to produce quality products. And we’ve expanded our team to continue innovating.
But one thing hasn’t changed: our commitment to making clean indoor air accessible and affordable for all.

- Apollo 818 – A smart purifier that can be controlled via app or voice. Provides air quality reports and has an auto mode.
- Dance 430 – A compact air fryer featuring rapid 360° air circulation for quick, crispy and healthy cooking.
- Replacement filters – High-quality filters for all Okaysou models. Remove pollutants without restricting airflow.

Our Filtration Technology
Advanced filtration is at the core of every Okaysou air purifier. Our systems use multiple layers to remove indoor pollutants as small as 0.3 microns.
Primary Filter
The first layer uses an antimicrobial pre-filter to catch large particles like pet dander, lint and hair.
Activated Carbon
Next, a thick bed of activated carbon absorbs gasses like VOCs as well as smoke, odors and fumes.
True HEPA
The key layer is an H13 grade True HEPA filter that captures 99.97% of fine particles such as PM2.5, dust, pollen and mold.
Ionizer
Some models also use an optional ionizer to charge and further attract particles to the filter. This boosts performance.
UV-C Light
In higher-end models, a UV-C light provides a final sterilization of any airborne microbes that pass through the system.
By using multiple technologies, our air purifiers ensure no pollutant evades the filtration process.
